We were mostly satisfied through the process. However, on Closing day there was an issue with FBC processing the funding. It took until almost 5:00 PM before a holiday weekend, and no explanation was given for the delay.

Whenever I was pre-approved for my loan beginning of April the rate was at 3.125% and should have been asked by Loan Officer to be locked in at that time. Got tired of playing phone tag with Loan Officer my time is just as important as Loan Officer's. I was watching the rates go up and had to reach out to Loan Office when they bumped up to 3.5% that they were increasing. Loan Officer had me at a rate of 3.625 w points which I was not happy about. It was extremely frustrating for me going back and forth. I felt as though I was being jerked around which was very unprofessional. I had to be proactive with the situation. I should have gotten a better rate than 3.5%. It was not a good experience dealing with your bank.
Karen's Tip: Be upfront and honest with your customers and do whatever you can for them in a timely and efficient manner. I have been in insurance sales all of my life dealing with clients and would always go out of my way to make them happy and be truthful with them. A first impression is a lasting impression!

Good until the end which cost me a lot of money
Things were fine until about 6 days before my close. No one realized that I had not closed on my current home until 6 days before the close on my new house. Due to that "new" information to them, my loan for 3.375 based on my income alone would not get approved. They added my wife (who does not have a good of a credit rating as me). The rate went to 4.875. I had to pay a point to reduce it to 4.175 and had to pay $12K at closing to pay off the interest free loan on my wife's car as they stated I could not support two houses for ONE month (as my current house closing is May 8) even though I have tons of money in savings. I wasted a lot of money and was very stressed due to this error on their part that no one told me my original loan was based on me closing both houses at the same time until almost the very last minute. Will never recommend this company to anyone.
