Horrible experience start to finish. Always hiding something- not forthcoming or honest. Always had to ask for relevant pieces of information after finding what to ask for from other parties. INFORMED JUST BEFORE CLOSING THAT I WOULD NEED over $7,000 MORE AT CLOSING THAN PREVIOUSLY TOLD. My Realtor reported $1500 differential as being the most he’s ever seen previously. Ran off to help hurricane victims without notifying or providing a contact for me. Missed lock-in opportunity because of it.
Scott's Tip: Go somewhere else. FBC cannot be trusted. Recommending an SBI and FBI investigation. In my opinion FBC intentionally low-balled the numbers to entrap me into buying a house as the builder’s preferred lender. Would never have bought this house knowing I had to bring that much cash to closing- sprung it on us at the very last minute. Found a way to circumvent the flags and safeguards in place to prevent this from happening.
